What age levels does Shepherd’s Flock Preschool serve?

Shepherd’s Flock Preschool is dedicated to serving children ages 33 months to 5 years of age.
Where are you located?

Shepherd’s Flock Preschool is located at 3611 North Berens RD NW, Prior Lake, MN 55379, in the same building as Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church.
Is your center affiliated with any church?

Shepherd’s Flock is a ministry of Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church in Prior Lake. Our preschool is open to the public and serves children in Prior Lake/Savage/Shakopee and surrounding communities. There is no religious affiliation requirement to attend our preschool.
What does your center teach in religion?

Faith formation is an integral part of the day. Prayer begins and closes the school day. Bible stories and lessons are incorporated into the areas of study. Each month chapel time is held with a pastor from Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church.
What is the curriculum of Shepherd’s Flock Preschool?

Our qualified teachers use Creative Curriculum and Teaching Strategies Gold Assessment as the framework for the curriculum. A safe environment to grow and explore spiritually, academically, socially, emotionally, and physically within our care is created every day for our learners.
How is tuition paid?

Tuition for the Half-Day Preschool program and the Full Day Preschool program is paid monthly. Caregivers may pay for services by cash, check, or credit card. When choosing the payment method that works best for your family, please note that ACH, check, or cash payments will result in a 3% tuition discount.
Are there any other fees to register my child?

At the time of registration, there is a fee to secure your preschooler’s spot in the desired class. This fee covers a non-refundable registration fee, and the field trip and snacks fees for the school year.
Are there additional discounts available?

When choosing the payment method that works best for your family, please note that ACH, check, or cash payments will result in a 3% tuition discount. If more than one child is enrolled in the program a 10% discount is given to the 2nd and 3rd child’s tuition.
Can I tour Shepherd’s Flock Preschool?

Prospective families are encouraged to set up a time to tour the school and meet with the director and teachers. We want your family to make an informed decision regarding the quality Christian education we provide. Click Here to Schedule a Tour!
Is the center licensed?

Shepherd’s Flock Preschool is licensed by the State of Minnesota and meets or exceeds all requirements of said license. Shepherd’s Flock Preschool has earned accreditation through NAEYC. And Shepherd’s Flock Preschool has earned a 4-star Parent Aware Rating.
What is the teacher student ratio?

The teacher to student ratio is 1:10.
Do the classes go on field trips?

Shepherd’s Flock Preschool plans field trips throughout the school year.
What are the hours of operation?

The Full Day Preschool is 7:30am – 5pm Monday-Friday. The Half-Day Preschool has set class hours that vary Monday-Friday.
What security do you provide for the school?

We have a secure entrance with a passcode for parents from the parking lot, then another secure entrance to the classrooms.
